The Crossing Las Vegas invited our team to join in the design for their new 55,000 square foot worship auditorium and Phase II of their campus development. To provide a completely open, unobstructed viewer experience, the primary structure was designed using a pre-engineered metal building.
The building features the auditorium and related back-of-house functions, space for the congregation’s early childhood nursery, coffee shop and several gathering spaces for the congregation. The auditorium was designed in a 140-degree seating array consisting of a combination of movable chairs on the flat floor and fixed, stadium-style seating at the rear of the auditorium. This design solution was employed in an effort to bring the furthest seats closer to the stage. Full audio, video, lighting and acoustic design was integrated fully from design inception to construction completion in order to deliver a top-notch performing arts facility.
Continued congregational growth prompted the need to expand the campus and create a cohesive campus environmental design. The main auditorium from the original 1,800 seats to 2,400 seats. Hardscape and landscape design themes were continued and enhanced with new shade structures and a new outdoor amphitheater.
